Pete's East Cottage is one of two twin cottages, each with two bedroom and one bathroom, located a half-block off the southern end of Duval Street. Each twin opens to it's own semi-private deck and then the shared pool with waterfall.

This property has it all! The styling of the original shot gun homes of Key West restored with a beautiful natural cypress exterior combines with the clean lines of a contemporary home. Each Twin opens to it's own semi-private deck and lounge area with steps into a large kidney shaped pool with waterfall. Inside the comfortable living room there is a spiral staircase to the loft second bedroom with unique glass railing. Large windows in the kitchen bi-fold away to allow serving directly to the pool deck and capture the warm, tropical, Key West breezes. If cooking isn't for you on your vacation, stop by the Banana Cafe Restaurant or one of the many other delicious options steps away on Duval Street.
The Twins allow for great flexibility in your vacation planning. Rent this property as a two bedroom/one bath or add the other unit to make it four bedrooms/ two bath.

At first we weren’t sure! Were 30 mins early but told ready- had to sit outside in pants for quite a while. But then we got inside and just perfect. Spotless!!Bigger than expected. Pool so clean and big- pool floats. Only negative we couldn’t use upstairs. Steps brutal?

The rental was more spacious than we expected. It was impeccably clean and well-equipped. The best feature for us was the back-yard pool which was beautiful, warm, and inviting. We liked that the location was close to a busy area for shopping and restaurants and an easy walk to South Beach. There was some noise due to this busy location--roosters, garbage trucks, partying people, etc. but nothing out of the ordinary.

Key West Vacations is the way to go! My wife and I were looking at Airbnb and are so grateful to have booked through Key West Vacations directly. Only two units on the lot in very clean condition. We had total privacy along with everything needed to enjoy our stay. Located on the corner of Louisa and Duval street doesn’t get any better. They even had the pool heated for us at no additional charge when we arrived. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be coming back same time next year!

What a wonderful experience! The cottage itself is adorable and very comfortable. The location is about as perfect as you could want. It's right in the center of everything with great restaurants all around and all within walking distance. The pool was fabulous. The ONLY drawback can be parking, which at times is difficult.

Pete’s cottage is situated perfectly off duval st. Tucked in on the east side of duval within walking distance to every part of Duval. Every form of key west is available to you, party on Duval or chill in the back yard with very nice pool. The cottage is on the quite side, so night is not so loud you can’t have a family pool party. With the modern design and generally well kept grounds I really don’t think I could of picked a better place in key west. Would highly recommend this location.

Pete's Cottage had all we needed to improve our stay in Key West. The cottage was very nice, clean and very comfortable.The semi-private pool,( shared with Pete's other cottage right next door)was an added bonus. The weather in mid July was very hot, and we used the pool to cool off several times daily. The laundry machines made it so we didn't have to bring a lot of clothing, as we washed a few times during our stay. being able to make breakfast and a few snacks really helped keep us going all day , and into the night, I would definitely recommend using Pete's Cottages for your vacation needs.

Hidden paradise

Pete's cottage was the perfect spot for our family of 4. We loved having the pool to relax at any time of the day. The cottage was clean (bathroom could have been cleaned better including baseboards) and well appointed. Location was perfect - near the action but not in the action, near the water, near good restaurants. The spiral stairs were fine for our college boys but did make them think of all they wanted to bring down because lots of up and down would get tiresome. We loved being outside so much after a long winter north so would have appreciated more comfortable deck chairs as well as at least 2 beach chairs that we could take as we visited the different beaches. Thanks for a great visit to Key West!

Fantastic place right off Duval

We stayed at Pete's East Cottage for 4 nights and it was absolutely perfect. Plenty of room inside and the pool was fantastic. Everything was very clean. Plenty of seating though you don't want to sit on it too long. My bed (downstairs) was very comfortable. Plenty of TVs inside with cable. If I had to nitpick, I wish the TVs had HD. It was odd that they had nice Samsung HD TVs with plenty of channels, but no HD service. (I know, I know, you won't be watching a lot of TV, but there are times at night or in the morning when you have it on.) The internet was a little wonky for us too - we could connect but we really couldn't do anything - so we just turned off WiFi and used cellular data. Again, you won't be in there much but if you need to use it for work, it might be a little annoying. The location cannot be beat! It's right off Duval and a very easy walk to everything. You are just a block or two away from the Southernmost point attraction, so it's on the quieter end of Duval - which is nice at night when going to bed. From the cottage to the other end of Duval is about a 15 minute easy stroll. If you need an Uber or Lyft, there are always plenty nearby. Our longest wait for a pick up was 2 minutes. You may or may not know (we didn't), but Key West is known for their chickens and roosters roaming around everywhere. Some of them seemed to have taken nest next door, so the early morning (like 4:30am) wake up calls were kind of annoying at times. Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. The property management was fantastic! They were very nice and very helpful. We had a late flight and they gave us a courtesy 2 hours extension for checkout and let us keep our bags in their office for an hour or so while we ate lunch. I wouldn't at all hesitate booking Pete's East Cottage for your stay. I would absolutely stay here again the next time I visit.

What a great time we had in Key West this past week. Lots of sun and the water was great. Duval St. is a blast! The only issue we had was parking. There is not a sign to keep people from parking in front of our rental cotttage. Nothing sucks worse than having a great day around Key West to have to come back and either pay to park @ 3.00 per hour or find a spot 2 or 3 blocks away and walk back to the cottage. A no parking sign in front of the cottage would cure this problem same as all the other houses do on the street.

Oh that spiral staircase!

There were only two things that were either missing or I felt unsafe in this rental. 1)there were no cushions for outside lounges, 2)The spiral staircase maybe good for 25yr olds or very slim 60 yr old that has not consumed anything other than water on Duval St. I would definitely bring this staircase to the attention of anyone I was to recommend the property to.

My husband and two children stayed here for a week in February and had a wonderful experience. The place was exactly as it looked in the pictures and was located just close enough to the action that it was an easy walk but not too close so that we were able to sleep at night. Having the pool outside our back door was fabulous and the kids loved it. And the laundry facilities were an added plus! All in all, a lovely restful stay.

A few tweaks and it would be great

The house was pretty much as advertised however, a few things were disappointing. They need to buy new sheets and towels. The sheets are stained with something that washing does not remove. The towels are disgraceful, like something that's sold at WalMart in packs of three for $5. They're skimpy in size and so thin you could read a newspaper thru them. And does it cost that much more to get expanded basic channels on the TV?

2 couples from MN

We were so happy with this Vacation rental! Brad and Laura were so helpful from the time we booked until the end of our vacation! We were so close to Duval to walk anywhere, but it still felt secluded and quiet. We traveled with one other couple so there were four of us total. The property was perfect for our needs! Plenty of space, even though the second bedroom is a loft it was so comfortable, and had plenty of privacy. We also go to know our neighbors who were renting the cottage next to ours and shared the pool. They were a family of 5 and very friendly, it was fun to have a shared space outside by the pool without feeling invaded. We will definitely go back! Especially since we are from Minnesota and crave the sunshine!!

Pete Cottage East-Key West

The employees at Rent Key West were helpful and professional. The location of the house was close to beaches as well as shopping and dining, yet was quiet enough at night to sleep. Parking was a bit of a challenge, but we established a free spot in front of the house. The spiral staircase leading to the 2nd floor is extremely tight, and would not be recommended for larger individuals or those with difficulty lifting their bags or walking steep stairs. The inground pool and gardens were fabulous, but knowing that the pool is shared with Pete's Cottage West guests would be good to point out more completely. Some of the cabinets veneers need replacing as they are peeling off, and the pool boy only did half a job; we ended up skimming the pool again after her left-we were not pleased at all with the job he did. Grounds needed serious weeding, especially along side of the house. Overall, house and grounds were beautiful and comfortable, and we would recommended it to others.

Great Stay

Myself, my husband and our two year old daughter stayed at Pete's East Cottage during the beginning of February 2013 and we were absolutely thrilled with the location. Our daughter had actually accidentially locked us out one day and within probably 10 minutes staff arrived on the scene to help us back in, and on a Sunday no less. Rental staff was very friendly. Only compliant was that the floors needed a good scrub, they left the bottom of our feet black. We would love to come back to this rental though after throughly enjoying the swimming pool. We had great neighbors for half our stay and then no neighbors for the remainder so that worked out really well for us. Pete's East Cottage truly fufilled all expectations we had before arriving and we truly look forward to the next time we can make it back to the Keys.

Relaxing

Relaxing! !We would have appreciated if the waterfall hours were from 10h to sunset.The garden and the pool was well taken care ofWe liked the coffe filters and the soap provided for the washer.. N.B. The fan in the bedroom donwstairs needs to be fixed.

Louisa Street Twins

This is the second time we've rented both cottages with our family--sharing the backyard is great fun. The location is close to restaurants and shopping and one of the best places to visit, The Butterfly House. It's a walk to Mallory Square, but if you are reasonably fit, no big deal--just about 15-20 minutes. The property is well furnished and clean, but not quite as spiffy as our stay three years ago. A great addition was the OnDemand for nights when grandma and grandpa babysat! This property (both houses) is good for families who want to be together but need their own space too!

Pete's is Great

We had a great 7-day visit to Key West. Pete's East Cottage was a good choice for a place to stay. The place was clean and well equipped, and everything worked. Little things like paper products and laundry, bath and dish washer soap were provided. We felt at home there which made our stay that much more enjoyable.
