The quiet compound is located just one block from Duval Street combining the best of both worlds for relaxing and taking advantage of all that Key West has to offer. Within 2 blocks you'll find Key West classics like The Bull, Sloppy Joe's, and Hog's Breath as well as a plethora of delicious restaurants. Venture just a short distance further to Mallory Square or the famous Historic Seaport. It's easy to see why this location is unbeatable. The shared compound, of 6 total homes, features a winding brick pathway surrounded by tropical foliage and flowers that lead to a free form heated pool tucked away in the far side of the gardens. Adjacent to the pool area is a shared, coin-operated laundry facility. Take a refreshing dip, lounge and catch some sun, or enjoy a good book while being surrounded by beautiful trees and plants. This truly is a relaxing outdoor oasis!
The Old Town Bali Hideaway studio has a queen-size bed and sitting area, efficient European-style kitchen, bath with walk-in shower, tiled floors and Bamboo ceilings. Relax in the private fenced-in patio courtyard or around the large, shared free-form pool and tropical garden. Here at Bali Hideaway you will feel as though you are in a peaceful retreat, yet still a part of all the Key West action. A perfect alternative to the high priced hotels in the adjoining area.
(The Ann Street Compound Homeowners Association requires all occupants to be 16 + yrs. Regretfully, NO Children under 16 are allowed. This home is also not pet-friendly)

Perfect Location

The unit itself is perfect size for the two of us for ten days. The efficiency kitchen is great for light meals. The pool is a nice touch. Bali Hideaway Key West 7.2021

Great location, walking distance to Duval and to the water the other direction off Green and Caroline Streets. Place was small but more than adequate for the 2 of us. Nice having a full kitchen especially the fridge and microwave. Fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans, etc. Very clean. Did have to emplty the dehumidifier daily but wasn't a big deal, we just didn't know that. AC worked great, nice and cool inside. Had issues with locking the double doors had to leave it unlocked some days, but outside gate was lockable. Called maintenance and they even have a video on this so it is finicky. We ended up opening the second door, and reclosing that seemed to work along with the other instructions. Needed more towels and TP for a week's stay as the rental office is a bit far off Duval. Nice private patio space. Pool area needs to be lit up at night, landscape lighting not working and pool light was off, a call to maintenance finally got the pool light on. Overall was a neat cozy place, and again location location location. Right around the corner from Sloppy Joes, and a couple local bars on the corner half block away with friendly locals. Would stay again. 2 Scooter rentals within a block. Public parking behind us if you bring a vehicle, none on premises. Recommend it if privacy and location are more important than a big resort like we normally do. Loved the experience. And great food in walking distance.

Lovely stay

My husband and I really enjoyed staying at the Bali Hideaway. It was close to Duval but you’d never know it. It was quiet and private. There were some street noises at night (trucks, etc) but mostly you don’t hear them too much with the AC and dehumidifier running. The complex has a paid washer and dryer available which was very helpful for light packing. The washer and dryer are close to the pool so we just did our laundry as we chilled there. The cottage has a small kitchen but we didn’t use it, except for the coffee pot. We loved watching the iguanas and lizards while swimming. We’d definitely stay here again. It had an easy check-in and check out. We didn’t have any issues with the place so we didn’t need to contact the management company. They did call us the morning after we checked in to make sure we didn’t have any problems. We loved the Bali Hideaway.

Perfect for our anniversary getaway

This was our 2nd time staying here. We stayed 8 years ago for our honeymoon and just went back. It's an amazing little hidden gem in the middle of all the action! We could walk to Duval St, the water, and just about anywhere. It has everything a couple needs. The only thing that is tricky is the door, we had to call management to get them to walk us through how to lock it. Other than that, it's the perfect spot!!

We had such an amazing stay at the Bali Hideaway for our 10 year anniversary trip. The fenced in patio was a vacation in itself, so private and relaxing. We were steps from the pool, which we had to ourselves the entire weekend. Walking distance to anything you can think of. Clean! And we were provided with everything we needed! 10/10 would recommend, and I hope to stay here again!

The unit and general grounds needed attention. We loved the possibility of what it could be with updates and maintenance. The pool area although very nice was not cleaned or groomed. It needed a good power wash. The biggest worry was when we looked at the air conditioning vents and dehumidifier. That was really unacceptable. The vents were caked with dust and the dehumidifier was full of mold. With all the Covid restrictions/recommendations on air quality this unit failed. It could be so lovely, please spend time on deep cleaning unit & upkeeping grounds.

We loved the space, very warm and just enough space for two. The patio was a delight to spend time in every morning and evening. We had the pool to ourselves most of the time and was very refreshing after a day out in town or at the beach. You can’t beat the location, near everything you need and want to do. I spent 2 amazing weeks at Bali Hideaway! The reservation/check in/checkout process was easy and everyone at Rent Key West was so kind and helpful with any questions I had. The property is a block off of Duval so you are super close to nightlife but once you enter through the garden gate into the complex, it’s like you are in a tropical rainforest and you hear nothing from the bars or the street. The unit itself is small but is well laid out and has just about every amenity you could think of. When I initially looked at the unit online, I didn’t see a closet but figured since it was only me, I would make it work. But to my delight there was a decent sized closet in the bathroom with plenty of hangers as well as an iron, ironing board, flat iron, extra towels, etc. The shelves next to the bed also have multiple baskets that I used to store my folded clothes. The bed was comfy and had plenty of pillows. The AC worked well and the ceiling fan helped to circulate air. The shower provided great water pressure and plenty of storage for your toiletries. I absolutely loved how there is a private enclosed patio with two loungers as well as a table & chairs so that you can enjoy your morning coffee or nightcap outside. The pool area is pretty....just watch out for the rather large iguana. I made use of the laundry room which is adjacent to the pool area. If you plan on using it, come prepared with quarters as there is no card system on the washer & dryer. Overall this was an amazing property and I look forward to returning! The positives outweigh the negatives, and we would definitely stay here again.The Positives:The bungalow was the perfect size for the two of us, and the place was exactly like the pictures. There isn’t a lot of drawer space, so depending on how long you stay, you can use the shelving next to the bed in addition to the 2 drawers that are provided. The bathroom is a nice size, shower space was large, and the water pressure was amazing! I would recommend you wait to buy anything until after you check in. There was sunscreen, soap, booze all at the house left over from the previous renter. Location! You can’t get any closer to Duval AND have a quiet space. One block behind Sloppy Joe’s, it’s a quiet street, low foot & car traffic, and a food cart vendor right around the block if you wanted a quick bite after the restaurants closed! There is no parking, so if you are driving you will need to find either a lot or free parking somewhere.Yard/Shared Space was absolutely breathtaking. Every time I walked into the compound, it made me smile. It really is a tropical oasis, so many beautiful trees, geckos, & even iguanas. Our private yard was stunning. There is now a gazebo with two lounge chairs that replaced the love seat – Perfect to keep the sun & rain off while relaxing outside. The pool was a nice size for the shared space, there was a mix between lounge chairs and regular chairs. A table & umbrella were positioned in the corner, and there was always some shade – which didn’t really affect the pool temperature (in end Aug). We bought pool floats, and was pleasantly surprised to see an additional three there. There are now five floats The Negatives:Know the “shared space” isn’t just with Rent Key West. There are 4 houses in the compound, however, you will share the pool with (at least) one more rental unit, which is not part of Rent Key West p

Peaceful Paradise

Bali Hideaway is an adorable little slice of tranquility near the Key West Marina so its convenient to everything, Duval, Mallory Square, the Marina n all our favorite places. But its also a beautifully landscaped gated compound that tucks you into a quiet space right in the middle of Key West. Coffee on the patio surrounded by tall palms n tropical plants and the resident sweetheart cat, Minnie always made the mornings a delight. She greeted us each night aftee dinner as well n slept on the lounge chairs beside us while we relaxed from our day. The condo is small but every convience is provided and we had everything we needed. We plan to return next year to immerse ourselves in that wonderful, tropical zen hideaway again. Just lovely.....

Tropical Paradise

The Bali Hideaway is an amazing place to stay in Key West! The decor really puts off a laid-back vibe concurrent with the rest of the town. The one room was perfect for just my boyfriend & me as we really just needed a place to lay our heads. It was a great place to regroup after hot & humid adventuring around the city. The place is in a perfect location- a block away from Duval & a quick walk to Mallory Square, but far enough away from the loud hustle & bustle of the constant night life. We didn't cook "at home" (way too many awesome restaurants around!), but from glancing around, there seemed to be enough cookware available to do so. Besides the fluctuating water temp in the shower, everything in the Bail Hideaway was perfection (sometimes a chilly shower was welcome, anyway!). We are ready to move in!!!

The vacation was great after spending a week in Islamorada we spent a week at Bally hideaway in Key West which was a really cute little place had a resident cat on the property may many that was so sweet made me feel like home the property is very very nice lush tropical plants very nice pool do unit we stayed in particular was very nice nice little kitchen bed was very comfortable walking shower couldn't of asked for more I've been to Key West before so we get a few things that we haven't done before and want to take a day trip out to Fort Jefferson which was just like the ninth wonder of the world I recommend it highly. we also went to latitudes for lunch one day and followed it up with breakfast because it was just way over-the-top and not that expensive there's a free launch that goes from the Westin you just have to call latitudes make a reservation which is not a problem

We absolutely loved the rental! It was tucked away amongst all lush tropical greens of Key West and you wouldn't even know it was in there. It was nicely decorated and had everything we needed. We had absolutely no complaints at all and this was one of our best trips we've ever had. Even though it was within walking distance of all the restaurants and bars, it was extremely quiet, its own private sanctuary.

My Girlfriend and I had a awsome stay in Bali Hideaway and working with RENT KW was a great experiance once again. The Hideaway is in a quiet cozy compound near Sloppy Joes Bar but you would never know it because its sooo quiet and peaceful. We will most surely rent the Bali Hideaway again as we truely loved it and the compound its located in. If you rent in this compound be sure to pet and say hello to Minny the compound kitty cat. I love Key West!!!

My husband and I stayed here for a week while celebrating our wedding anniversary. From the second we stepped into the property, we were absolutely blown away by the quality! This place is gorgeous! It is the perfect location. We walked everywhere. Literally just behind Sloppy Joe's, but on a small one way street. From the street, you cannot see any of the houses, just a cute little white fence. There is a gated, locked entrance so it is very secure and safe. When you step into the property, you are surrounded by lush tropical plants that make each rental very private. The Bali Hideaway is especially nice because it has it's own locked gated in the back of the property, with its own beautiful patio. The entire property is so quiet, we felt like we were the only ones staying here! The pool is gorgeous- we never saw anyone else there! You can tell the owners really keep up with these rentals- there was always landscapers taking care of the beautiful gardens. I was also so impressed with how stocked this rental was- it had everything! So incredibly impressed with this rental (and the rental company). We are already planning our second trip back to Key West and will absolutely stay here again. It's perfect!

A private, perfect oasis

This was the second time that my husband and I stayed at Bali Hideaway. We arrived after hours and retrieved our key from the lockbox. I must say, it was not well lighted and I found it very difficult to see the numbers on the combination lock...we had to ask the restaurant next door for a candle.We easily found the property and were lucky enough to get a parking spot on the street. Parking in the lot is now $25 per 24 hours...ouch!Bali Hideaway had been painted and redecorated and was simply beautiful, as well as being very clean. It had everything you could ever want or need in the cupboards....even mosquito spray.The location is on the next street over, behind Sloppy Joes, but at night you would never know, as it is sooooo quiet. We have never felt unsafe in Key West; whether it is walking along Duval St or just off of it. My three favourite restaurants are Sarabeths, Salute and Kellys.Key West is a magical place and Bali Hideaway is a perfect place to stay and enjoy it. I would absolutely recommend it for a romantic getaway.

Great place for a 35 Wedding Anniversary!

This is a compound of 5 vacation rentals. While we were there only one other cottage was rented, very private. We had the pool all to ourselves. Place was clean and comfortable. We had a private courtyard with lots of foliage, very pretty. Only negative, pool needed to be vaccumed, stainer full of leaves, but water was clear.

Great Anniversary Vacation

The Bali Hideaway was the perfect place for our Anniversary celebration. The private tropical garden atmosphere complimented the well decorated cottage. The well equipped small kitchen was fun to use for breakfast and happy hour. The revelry and crowds of popular Duval St. were conveniently close, yet the Hideaway, on a nearby quiet street, was peaceful. We will return!!

This is a well hidden retreat just off of Duval. While the location is premium, the accomodations are not compromised. It is clean and beautiful. The only fault is the inadequate lighting in the living space.

Cute little place with great localtion

We arrived after hours and picked up keys, left before hours and dropped off the keys so we never had any personal contact with the rental company. We loved the place - quite tiny but fine for two! The location was perfect for walking everywhere, although we rented a car and went to the beach daily. We worked a deal with the parking lot behind the unit for a better weekly rate.(on Simonton) Too many restaurants to comment on, although Blue Heaven was one of our favorites! We also had good breakfasts at Two Friends. The condo was super private, the pool is pretty, but there is so much foliage you can't sit in the sun, which was the only negative for me. If I return to Key West I will stay here again.

Amazing stay at Bali Hideaway

We loved our stay here. The unit is perfect size for two and it is well stocked with just about anything you could need. The bed is comfy and the air conditioner works very well. The kitchen has everything you could need. There are even pool towels and suntan lotions to use. The pool was very nice and peaceful, we only saw one other people the whole week. The pool water was warm too. The only frustration we had was with the shower temperature, it never stayed steady and would go from warm to scalding to freezing when no other water was being used in the unit. We eventually learned to manually adjust the temperature several times during the course of a shower. But this is not enough to keep us away, we'd go back again.The location of the unit is so close to everything but none of the noise. It will be very quite in your hideaway. You can walk everywhere. You don't really need a car unless you go to other keys while staying. Parking is not available at the site but there is a parking lot just around the corner and we got a week of prepaid parking for $90.During our stay we took the ferry out to the Dry Tortugas and camped for two nights. It was amazing. I recommend it to anyone interested in snorkeling or history.

This property is awesome..best location ever. Only a block from Duval and yet very quiet. Very tropical shaded setting with many beautiful plants, fenced property and just perfect! Exceptionally peaceful and beautiful decor. No problems with locking the door (as mentioned in other reviews). The owner explained once and no problems with the door after that! Our friends loved the place also and on their next visit will be staying there. Kitchen has everything you need if you choose to stay in. The bed was comfortable and had nice linens. The A/C was great and quiet. Perfect size for two with ample storage and a great patio area. Can't wait to come back and stay again! We had a wonderful vacation!

This was our second stay in the Anne Street compound and our first in Bali Hideaway. Great place to stay for a couple or a single. We really enjoyed the private patio for morning yoga or afternoon reads/cocktails. My only minor complaint is that you the position of the TV will give you a crick in your neck if you are a TV watcher - but why go to KW to watch TV!Being avid tea drinkers and in the absence of a tea pot we bought and left a Bodum press. Enjoy.

Absolutely Bali Hideaway is located perfectly to walk most anywhere in the Historic District! The cottage was beautifully decorated and perfect for a couple. With 3 cottages on the property we were able to invite friends to rent one of the other cottages. Perfect vacation! Julie Pischke's needlepoint shop is a real treasure for those who are into needlepointing! 🙂

A Feel of Old Key West
