Even Better in Person!

My husband and I have been coming to KW for over ten years and usually stay in a hotel, we brought our kids with us and decided to rent a house….. we may never stay in a hotel again! This house has everything you need and then some, it’s much more spacious than the pictures show and we loved the eclectic island-themed decor. The location is minutes away from our favorite side of Duval and we enjoyed walking to the surrounding eateries. We very much enjoyed our stay, thank you!

Getaway with the girls

My sister and I took our mother to the keys for the first time. She had a wonderful time! Loved the house so much that we ordered take out most nights!The only suggestion I have would be to have bar soap available. We had every other kind of soap, just no soap for the shower. Beautiful house

This was our first real vacation since Covid started. Key West is our favorite spot to be. Catherine house was amazing. it was perfect for our little get away. we enjoyed sitting by the pool, the house was very clean and decorated so cute and tropical. the location was perfect. Quiet but close to all the action. The rental agency was very accommodating to our needs. we cannot wait to rent Catherine house again on our next trip down. We highly recommend this rental for the perfect vacation in paradise. 🙂

Perfect Vacation Cottage

The house was incredibly clean when we arrived and had everything we needed. Although the weather was perfect, we didn't get a chance to use the pool. The bed was extremely comfortable and the cottage is nicely decorated. We would definitely recommend this house and will be back to stay again!

Catherine House was absolutely perfect! The decor is adorable. It was spotlessly clean. We had everything we needed, including a very well stocked kitchen. A private back yard with a pool. And the location is ideal (half block off the quieter end of Duval). Honestly, we couldn’t be happier and hope to rent Catherine House again when we come back to Key West.

Darling little cottage near Duvall

The cottage is very bright and quintessentially Key West. The property was very clean and had a great layout for our family. A bike rack behind the fence was a great touch for us. The pool was small (as pictured), but perfect for a couple and a toddler. We really enjoyed the privacy the pool area afforded. The property management company was very helpful. Check-in was simple and they offered to watch our bags between our check-out time and departure. I would highly recommend this property for a getaway for a small family or a few friends. We really enjoyed touring the Butterfly and Nature Conservatory, breakfast at Frenchie's Cafe and Kaya Island Eats for their signature tuna poke (WOW) and tiki-style cocktails.

The experience both with Key West Rentals and specifically at the Catherine House was wonderful. The house was exactly as expected and had everything we needed. It was quiet, super clean and close to everything. No need to rent a car, scooter or bike - we walked the entire island and what a treat to come back to a cool, clean bright and sunny house and take a dip in the pool. We were visited daily at the pool by a family of iguana's walking along the fenceline. If returning to Key West, I would definitely only stay at Catherine House!

A Perfect Cottage Style House

This house was perfect for our group of four. Bedrooms situated on either side of living & kitchen space, the patio was very nice & private. We loved sitting on the front porch too. The rental office was accommodating to our schedule and the information supplied was very helpful. Great experience. This house in in a great location, close enough to walk to nearby restaurants & shopping. We rented a golf cart to get around the entire island which was so fun. Sunsets on the water were amazing! We booked a sunset cruise with Argo Navis...classy experience, and a 1/2 day boat experience with Easy Day. Went snorkeling & island hopping. You won’t be, or shouldn’t be, disappointed with this property.

This is a great property in a great location 2 blocks from Duval. Lots of really good places to eat within walking distance. Also within walking distance to a liquor store and grocery. This 2 bedroom is very private and is fully stocked. We cooked a large dinner one night and found everything we needed. We’ll definitely stay here again.

Quiet area but super close to Duval, easy walk to lots of shops and restaurants. Perfect balance. Great yard with patches of sun and shade all day, beautiful clean little heated dipping pool, comfortable furniture inside and out. Impeccably maintained house and yard. Lovely bed linens, beautiful high end bathrooms, and nice kitchen. Great tech (3 tv’s, fast WiFi, Bluetooth radio). My only complaint is that the mattress was too firm and the pillows were firm foam. Outstanding is understating this bungalow

My wife and I would absolutely rent this bungalow again. It was perfect in everyway. We’d even go as far as saying the rental made the entire vacation. The décor is outstanding—it is both comfortable while adding to the unique atmosphere of Key West. The location is perfect--it is just a couple homes off Duval, so it is simultaneously quiet and convenient. Every light switch is on a dimmer, allowing for night time navigation without walking into something. Virtually everything is labeled so you know what it does/how it works. The kitchen is well equipped, and the towels/sheets/blankets are beyond ample. Both the backyard and front porch were very relaxing—we had an occasional rooster swing by to say good morning while we drank our coffee. We even loved all the artwork. The unit was also spotless clean. The entire experience is undoubtedly worthy of five stars (if not more)!Manager's ResponseThank you for the amazing review! 2 Couple Retreat

This cute two bedroom cottage is about 60 yards from Duval street. More towards the quiet end and that was enjoyable. Great little bar on the corner called LaTeDa if you want a night cap. Bring beverages and food for the cute kitchen or sit out on the deck or in the tiny pool to cool off and relax. If you want to venture down the street towards the busier part of Duval, it is just about an 8-13 minute walk to get there. Fun, close to everything, clean, cute, quaint, air conditioned and a fun outside shower. House comes with two king beds and both couples have their own full bathroom. We LOVED it and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to spend some time in the Keys with another good travel couple. Oh yes, the key pad on the door was nice - we didn't have to carry around a key all the time.

Whenever we visit Key West we stay at Catherine House. It’s in a great location and love the pool. Just a little disappointed in a couple areas. We stayed for 10 days and the pool was never cleaned/maintenanced, otherwise I loved my stay. Manager's ResponseThank you very much for your review of your recent stay with us. Our main priority is to be able to offer a clean, comfortable, well maintained property, and have our guests enjoy their stay with us.

Catherine House turned out to be everything we had hoped for! Each room is exactly as it looks in the pictures, no surprises. It's evident the owners have thought of everything you could possibly need and have it available. During our stay temperatures were in the mid 90s with high humidity, but the house was always cool and very comfortable. We loved having our coffee on the front porch in the morning, watching and listening to the roosters across the street. This location is perfect, everything is within an easy bike ride. And working with the rental company was painless, all their associates were beyond friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate us. We can't wait for our next trip and to stay at Catherine House again!

Great location on quiet end of Duvall. Beds were great. Kitchen had thing you would find at home. Front porch with the haint colored ceiling is perfect for hanging out before heading out. Stayed a week. Rented bikes from Fury two blocks from house across Duvall. Experienced the best things the island had to offer. Garbos, el Siboney, Bien, and Sinz are must eat lunch spots close to the house. Santiago's for dinner. Hit up Mary Ellen's for the Irish coffee with Jameson floater early every day. And eat conch as much as possible. You're going to miss it when you're gone.

Great house and Spectacular location

Place was every bit as nice as advertised; plunge pool was indeed small but felt good after a day on Duval Street. Loved the flora and fauna with even a visit from Mr. Iguana on top of the privacy fence (think he was scamming the next door mango trees). House is right off Duval but on the quieter end of Duval away from Cruise ship crowds. Plenty of great restaurants and bars very close. Recommend place highly!

Relaxing Week in Key West

Beautiful Catherine House! We had an amazing week in Key West and the house was everything pictured and more. Lovely art work and so many details that set this rental apart from the rest. The rental management was very helpful and called after the first day to make sure we were okay and if we had any questions. Their office was a quick walk from the house. The Catherine House is close to the Duval Loop Bus that we used several times. We used the washer and dryer on the property and cooked three dinners during our stay. The Catherine House is well maintained and spotless. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were like a spa. So yes, we would definitely stay again on vacation!

We and another couple had the pleasure of staying at The Catherine House in November while there for my daughters wedding and this property exceeded our expectations. As one in our party is an interior designer, that is no easy feat. From the location to the dcor, we couldnt have found a better place. This house was immaculately clean and so well appointed with just about anything you could possibly need in the kitchen that we kept joking about it. Of course, there is an ice crusher, who doesnt have one of those? Two bedrooms on opposite ends of the house provide privacy and somehow make the house feel much larger than it is. The main living area is open and airy and provided plenty of room for a wedding party to have their hair and makeup done all while enjoying a brunch spread. In the 6 days that we were there, most of our days and nights were spent out and about but we always looked forward to going home and wrapping up the evening on the front porch or back patio.From the bedding to the towels, the color scheme, the artwork, the fabulous collection of books on Key Westthe owners thought of it all. As our week came to an end, we were sad to leave and all agreed it was the best rental property wed ever stayed in.The staff of Rent Key West Vacations were fabulous to deal with. They happily allowed me to have wedding dcor shipped to their offices without hesitation and when one box got delayed, scheduled to arrive after I left, they took care to ensure it was returned to the shipper.To the owners and the staff of Rent Key West, we thank you for your hospitality and for providing us with our own little slice of the island, if even for a brief time.

This rental is clean, beautifully maintained and equipped. It is located in a great location, steps away from Duval Street but in a quieter and I think nicer end of Duval. This rental is perfect for 2 couples offering two equally nice masters and baths. The decor is very cute and tasteful. The home has a small but nicely landscaped side patio area, and also front porch perfect for coffee or cocktails. The on site laundry is convenient. The home includes all of the necessities. With the exception of purchasing some food and drinks upon arriving, everything else we needed was found in the home. Rent Key West was great to deal with from start to finish and their office is conveniently located near the rental. Highly recommend this property for 2-4 adults.

Catherine House -- An unexpected treat

Another couple our age that we often travel with (Alaska, Hawaii, etc.) invited us to join them for a few days to celebrate the wife's 70th birthday in Key West. Since a hotel room in our price range would cost up to $400 per night per couple plus taxes, we decided we could get better quality splitting the cost of a two-bedroom home. We picked Catherine House based on price (under $600 total per night split 50-50), availability (3 nights mid-week), and location (very close to Hemingway House). All we could say on arrival was, "Wow!!!" The outside was routine, but it felt like we had rented space in a gallery with impeccably integrated taste in color schemes, artwork, and furnishings. We never asked, but think some of the signed original artwork might have been custom pieces done by the owner. We visited quite a few galleries during our three days in Key West, and none impressed us as much as this rental. Bottom line: I cant imagine scheduling another trip to Key West without making sure we pick dates when we can stay here again.

We really enjoyed our rental at Catherine house! Everything went easier than I could have expected. We were trading by small aircraft and as such did not have a definite arrival time. We also shipped our luggage ahead to the rental office. When we arrived at the rental office it took just a few minutes to complete the checkin process and then when we asked for our luggage we found it had already been delivered to our house! What service! Once we arrived at the house we found it was perfect for 2 couples for the week. We cooked a few meals there and had everything we needed. It was very clean and really just a great location.

We have rented several homes in KW and this was exactly what we wanted. It is close to Duval and within easy walking distance to all of the main attractions and restaurants. It was very clean and the perfect size for just the two of us. The pool is a small dipping pool but worked well to cool off during the day and after dinner in the evenings. We had a great stay.

The house was beyond our expectations. It was beautifully decorated, nice size and met all of our needs. However, we were hugely disappointed with the nearby jackhammers that were constant from 8:00 am until 5:00. I had just paid for the pool to be heated with plans to read by the pool most of the week. That did not happen due to the jackhammering. I do wish I had known in advance about the construction nearby. There is a new hotel being built nearby. Those who plan on sightseeing all day may not mind, but for us it definitely was a disappointment. And I would not have paid for the pool to be heated! Otherwise, the owners of this house clearly take great pride and care of this home.

This was our first visit to Key West and it definitely will not be our last. This house is perfect for a family or anyone who only needs 2 bedrooms. Everything you could possibly want or need was in the house. Washer, dryer, dishwasher, blow dryers, beach towels, sunscreen, hand soaps, pots, pans, bowls, utensils..etc. The only thing missing was a METAL spatula for the gas grill. The house clean and bright. The pool is small, but if you are only looking to get wet or take a quick dip, it's perfect. It's on a quiet street that is on the quieter end of Duval. Easy walking distance to the Butterfly Conservatory, the Southernmost Point, the Lighthouse, Hemingway House, the Bakery, and various bars and restaurants. Great house, great location!!

It turned out perfect since it was located just off Duval St. but on the quieter end close to the Southernmost Beach. Everything you need is within walking distance except a big grocery store however we ended up enjoying the great restaurants nearby which are all within walking distance. Catherine Cottage is a delightful place to stay in Key West. We have rented several cottages in Key West over the past twelve years and this was the best yet, Great location unless you want to be closer to the primary bar scene. It is well equipped although the "full size" refrigerator and dishwasher were on the small side. Also, the microwave oven is inconviently located. The bedrooms are quite large with king size comfortable beds, flat screen TVs and en suite bathrooms. The private pool is a particular delight.

I came to KW on a much needed escape and live like a native. Catherine House was definitely instrumental in getting me there. My stay there was truly a very pleasant experience and I wouldn't change a thing. Wasn't sure what to bring, but the house came with everything - including beach towels and sun block! Great location, beautifully decorated. The only cons were incredibly noisy neighbors and the bathroom adjacent to the bedroom in the back of the house had plumbing problems. Also a pool guy just walked into the property without announcing himself. Wish the rental agent had mentioned this prior, because it was startling. Other than that, I can't recommend the whole experience enough.
