Visit The Waterfront Brewery for fantastic brews, views, and food. First Flight Island Restaurant & Brewery
Enjoy delicious brews in this historic birthplace of Pan American World Airways. Pan-Am’s first tickets were sold out of this very building in 1927. Pan Am was the principal and largest international air carrier in the United States from 1927 until its collapse on December 4, 1991.
Accessing the brewery is an adventure in itself; stroll through the red-bricked garden and head through the French doors to be greeted by the unique bar area. A seaplane plunges through the ceiling, offering a one-of-a-kind drinking surface. We recommend their Sunset Clipper brew, which uses fresh Florida citrus peels for the perfect refreshing drink.

Stop at the first-ever legal rum distillery on the island and try their collection of home-brewed rum. Join their free tours and learn about the process of distilling sugar cane into rum. They are also known for having the best pina Coladas and mojitos on the island, and they will even give you the recipe so you can perfect the making of the drinks at your vacation home so you can impress your friends when you get back to reality!
Papa’s Pilar Rum Distillery
Taste the rum inspired by the life and exploits of beloved local author Ernest Hemingway. Their rum is named after his boat, Pilar, expressing a bold and well-traveled blend of maple, dark chocolate, fig, and candied orange. Although not technically a brewery, Old Town Tavern offers one of the largest selections of craft beers in Key West.
