These twin cottages each have two bedrooms and one bathroom and they are located a half-block off the southern end of Duval Street. Each cottage opens to it's own semi-private deck and then the shared pool with waterfall.

This property has it all! The styling of the original shot gun homes of Key West restored with a beautiful natural cypress exterior combines with the clean lines of a contemporary home. Each cottage opens to it's own semi-private deck and lounge area with steps into a large kidney shaped pool with waterfall. Inside the comfortable living room there is a spiral staircase to the loft second bedroom with unique glass railing. Large windows in the kitchen bi-fold away to allow serving directly to the pool deck and capture the warm, tropical, Key West breezes.

Our place was well furnished for a VRBO vacation home. The house was clean and ready to go when we arrived. We had a minor issues with the WIFI, but it was fixed quickly. Everyone we talked to was extremely kind. A one small change could make it a perfect place to stay., the sheets are harsh feeling. A better quality sheet would be very nice. It is not worth a star just worth a mention.

Great rental, close to everything

Great stay, great location

We were a group of seven adults that stayed in Pete’s cottages. It was by far the most reasonable accommodations we found in key west for the week during the super bowl. The location is great, pool was awesome and well heated. Our biggest complaint was no grill available due to fire codes. Also, the stairs to the lofts are extremely narrow, they need to be replaced with something easier to navigate. Outdoor furniture was a little uncomfortable. Also could not find a broom to clean up after ourselves. I would recommend staying here, it was an affordable option for key west.

Only one downside.. The house across the street is used by a construction company as storage.. Large trucks, loud engines and back up beeping alarms start at 6:30am..if you're a light sleeper and like to sleep late, this could be an issue for you. Otherwise a great place. We had both cottages, not sure I would like having strangers sharing the yard n pool

Cottages were wonderful. We would happily stay there again. The AC works like a champ. The pool was perfect after hot days, however the pool deck is SUPER slippery so be very careful. Loft bedrooms were up a narrow spiral staircase - Perfect for my teens but I wouldn’t suggest for elderly or very small kids. Located on the quieter end of Duval street, but only about a mile walk to the other end.

Great Stay, with a few gripes

The houses and location were great. Our issues were things like requesting extra blankets and only receiving 1 (there are 4 beds between the 2 homes and each bed has a very thin, small blanket that is definitely not enough - I requested more after the 1 arrived and never got a response or more blankets), and both houses ran out of toilet paper with over 24 hours remaining before check out. When I emailed requesting more we were told to go buy some, which is insane having spent $4,500 to stay there. These are such minor things the management company could have fixed immediately and made us much happier guests but chose not to.

Overall we had a great stay at the cottages. Had a group of 8 that rented out both cottages for a week and there was plenty of room. The pool is the best part! Had a slight issue where the heat went out but we called and they had it repaired in a few hours. There were a few negatives about the place. Both showers looked like they had not been properly cleaned in quite some time. They had built up soap scum on the walls and mold growing on all the edges and corners, especially the windows. Two of the beds are very creaky and slope to the middle. I woke up sore each morning. Lastly, the pool deck is very slippery and should be addressed.

Pete's Cottages is a great place to stay. There was 8 of who stayed just a week ago and enjoyed our stay. The only complaints we had were the pool heater was still not working, so we did not get to swim. With that being said, the staff went out of their way to make up for it. The only other issue we had is a couple of the bed mattresses need replaced. They have dips in the center and were uncomfortable. The location of the cottages is great. They are just off of Duvall on a quiet street but walk around the corner and your on Duvall where there are restaurants and shopping. There is so much to see and do. We visited the butterfly house, Mallory square, went on a sunset cruise and much more. There are lots of enjoyable things to see and the food was great every where we ate. I would highly recommend this property for anyone who is wanting to visit Key West. We didn't let the 2 little issues upset us, a vacation is what you make of it. We had a blast!!

Stayed here for a friend's wedding in Key West. The place was in a great area with fantastic cafes right around the corner (definitely go to La Grignote!) The beds were okay, but the one in the main bedroom was very squeaky and I woke up every time my partner got up or moved. The loft is much more private than I expected, which was fantastic and access was fine for our group, but I could imagine some folks might have a difficult time accessing it. If you're in Key West to experience the restaurants and general area, this is a great choice!

We loved these cottages and the location is exactly where we wanted to be, only steps away from Duvall Street. The houses were clean and decorated in good taste. Our favorite thing was the pool, a backyard oasis where we all hung out together enjoying each other and the Florida sunshine. I cannot give 5 stars because of the condition of all 4 beds. The mattresses were junk and sagged in the middle. For the price we paid we should have continously woke up with back aches.

Pete’s Cottages: Paradise Perfection

We had such an amazing time staying in Pete’s cottages! A large group of 8 fit perfectly in these two rentals. I can’t say enough about the atmosphere these rentals created for our amazing Key West adventures. The cottages are close to so many things, including the awesome Banana Cafe. They are steps from LaTiDa where you can find the best Key Lime Pie martini in town, and also the perfect spot to just float in the huge and stunning pool to beat the heat. My main comment when sharing these condos with groups of adults: the spiral staircases are quite a challenge after cocktails, and the lofts are bright in the a.m. and wide open, so expect to be woken up by anyone who decides to party like a Key West partier should party. Otherwise this was the perfect way to have 4 couples in one place with plenty of space to spread out. Thanks for an awesome visit and a great experience. We would definitely rent this place again!

We had 6 women staying in these twin cottages for a girls trip. The cottages are very clean, updated, and has one of the best pools in Key West! The location is a couple of easily walkable blocks to the action on Duval. The spiral stairs are a little noisy and not for the large or very intoxicated. Thanksgiving in Key West

My family rented both sides of Pete's Cottages for a week over Thanksgiving. The cottages were very, very well renovated, very clean, and had lots of character. Everything we needed for a great stay was available to us in the cottage including beach towels, kitchen utensils, supplies, etc. And we especially appreciated the washer and dryer! The property management company was very easy to work with and communicated with us extremely well, too. We only had two issues during our stay. First was a problem with the pool. The pool heater was broken and was not repaired during the week of our stay. Unfortunately, due to some cool nights, this basically rendered the pool unusable. We want to stress, though, that the management company handled the situation well and kept us informed of progress trying to get it repaired. Not much more we could really ask from them. The other issue we had was outside of anyones control. Trash pickup. With the restaurants immediately adjacent, almost every morning (sometimes before sunrise), we woke to the sound of breaking glass, dumpsters/bins being emptied, and the sound of big diesel trucks. Nothing can be done about it. These are jobs that need doing, and we certainly understand. However, it completely took the fun out of sleeping in. All in all, it was a great stay. We enjoyed the property immensely, and we certainly used it the way it was intended. Perfect for a large group!

We had so much fun at Pete's Cottages! We had a large group of friends in Key West for my husband's 30th birthday. Half of the group stayed here, the rest found rooms around town. This was the perfect meetup spot for everyone and having the pool was fantastic! (wish it was a bit warmer water though!) Would definitely recommend this place! Fantastic French bakery for breakfast about 10 steps away!

These cottages are great. Could stand a few additions to the property, but nonetheless, the pool and lovely landscaped back yard is a pleasant view each day. There were some updates since last stay - new table and chairs in the dining area, new flat screen TVs and living room furniture. The noise from the restaurants is a bit annoying some mornings and also the parking stinks, but if you don't have a car, then it's no problem.

Pete's Cottages

We rented both units for my and my sisters family for the Thanksgiving week. The pool was great, both units where clean and well maintained. Location is perfect for us, steps to Duval. I would suggest a few minor changes. 1) Fix the load spiral stairs. No one in the unit can sleep if someone is going up or down these stairs. They could wake the dead. 2) having a grill should be mandatory. Who wants to be inside when your in Key West - Even the cook. ( we bought one and left it ). 3) maybe table outside to eat. Again, who wants to be inside when its 75-80 outside. These are minor, we would stay again, and really like have separate units for each family. Very well maintained.

Pete's cottages was the perfect layout and location for our group. The setup of 2 side by side cottages was very convenient for us. We were happy to have so much room not to smother each other or jockey for the bathroom, yet close enough that we felt like it was 1 large house. I would highly recommend for families, couples, or groups traveling together and still have some separation and privacy. It's location was conveniently located within a short walking distance from the beach and good restaurants/bars. We had scooters, which made it easy to run around, and never took more than 5 to 10 minutes to go anywhere on the island. The management company was great, and very accommodating to our needs, as we had an evening departure flight and they allowed us a later checkout time. I plan on staying there again for the races next year.

Best hidden house next to Duval street

We loved the house saw it online. It was 100% better in person the owners had redone everything in the house the backyard was his own oasis with a pool you did not feel like you around people at all . We will be renting these houses again next year

Great set up for a small family reunion with the two cottages sharing the pool. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for our party of 7. The pool is really nice and the kids loved it. The location next to duval is nice but can get a little noisy. Overall the cottages were great.

Key west family vacation

Pete's Cottage was a great place to stay. We were close to all the things we wanted to do. We would play all morning, relax by the pool in the afternoon, and then enjoy our evening on Duval Street. You can't get any closer location to Duval without being on it! The rental is located on a street behind two local eateries. At one time, their trash became a little stinky, but we didn't spend anytime out front. It was a great place, conveniently located, parking was no problem, check in was great. Highly recommend.

Paradise in Key West!

The rental experience was wonderful. Everyone was very responsive during the initial rental reservation process. Upon check-in, everyone was very friendly and very helpful with things to do in the area, restaurants, etc and were happy to answer any questions I had. The rental unit itself was very clean and in my opinion the pictures don't do it justice. The location was absolutely perfect and you just can't beat having the pool steps out the back door. Renting both cottages was perfect for our party of 8 and I would absolutely rent here again! I can't wait to come back!

Key West Downtime

This was a family vacation and I rented both cabins. Good:The two cottage were pretty much the perfect location. We were the far enough a way from the action of Duval street that was going on at the other end of the street. Yet we were close enough to be a part of the action. The outside area was the bomb we had an excellent time enjoying the pool area.Need improvement:Internet access. the modem is in the one unit however the second unit doesn't has hardly any good signal. Kind of disappointed that the unit didn't have a functioning grill. Would have been an excellent opportunity to grill outside on the patio area.Critique:The cottage showed some wear that you see when you are renting a rental property that sees a huge turn around in tenants. The parking could be horrible at times. Duval is a pay to park street however the location of this resident was close enough to Duval street that you had a lot of the regular parking on this street in front of the house leaving us limited parking for us. The TV in the units were the big tube style TV if they went with a flat screen would create additional space in the unit. All in all a very nice facility could use some improvements but I would give the unit a "B" for passing.

Great Key West Cottages

Pete's Cottages were a great place for us to stay on vacation! It perfectly suited the 4 couples we had going down and the deck/pool area is fantastic! The only downside is if you're looking to be in the heart of the action on Duval St. you have to walk a bit to get there. However, you're closer to South Beach and Higgs Beach- which is awesome! Would absolutely stay here again! Just keep in mind there is no grill on site-we were wondering that before we came here.

Other then some tiny situations, like the previous guests not putting the trash and recycling on the curb, so our cans were full all week, or lights being out, which was fixed with a simple phone call... All I can really say is one word...Perfect!

40th birthday extravaganza

I rented both cottages and our best friends flew in to surprise my wife for her 40th birthday. The property was wonderful! The houses were clean, well equipped, and convenient to Duval Street. Even though we were close to the action, the houses are located on a quiet side street, which made relaxing by the pool a great option on those days when we needed a break from it all! Booking, check in, and departure were a breeze! I would definitely stay here again! Thanks for helping make my wife's "birthday extravaganza" so easy for me to pull off!

We had an amazing time at Pete's Cottages! We rented both cottages for our family, and it was nice to be together, but separate. The pool area was secluded and nice. The house was well kept and had everything we needed. The location is right off Duval Street and convenient to everything. Would definitely stay here again!

Great stay for a group

Perfect accommodations for a group of friends, relatives or even a wedding. You can see wear and tear on walls, cabinets, etc but this is typical. Just don't expect anything elaborate because everything is basic. However, the TVs are way out of date and should be replaced with flat screens. Location is great but the biggest downfall is that there is no reserved parking--just find a space on the crowded, restricted street or pay $2hr at the meter. If you don't have a car that takes away that headache. I would rent both cottages together as it would be awkward sharing a pool with strangers.

Summertime Birthday Celebration in Key West

I rented both cottages for a group of 6 celebrating a birthday in Key West. I can't say enough good things about the location, the rental agency, the properties. Having a private pool with a waterfall in the heat of July/August was absolutely perfect. The property is far enough away from the action that it is nice and quiet at night but you can easily walk to everything! The cost was very reasonable for having all the amenities of a house. There are also two nice cafe/restaurants right next door that made getting breakfast on a lazy morning very convenient. I absolutely recommend and would certainly rent Pete's Cottages again should my vacation plans take me back to Key West.

My Daughter's Wedding

It was awesome. The two cottages worked out so, so well for my group of seven that came down for my daughter's wedding. It was everyone's first time to Key West and they had the best time ever. We couldn't of had a better place. When my daughter, fiance and their group of friends stopped by to see us the first night they all were in love with it and want to stay there next year for their one year anniversary, so don't be surprised if you get a call for a reservation. The only drawback is the spiral staircase (not very wide and steps very tiny)especially when there is no bathroom up in the loft, but we handled it just fine. Everyone in my group had a great time and would love to go to Key West again and if we do, we would definitely rent this from you again. Thank you again for everything, especially going the extra mile on answering all my other questions, you were all a great help to me....thank you, thank you, thank you!

8 family members stayed at both cottages and loved it.. very clean, everything you needed and close to all kinds of action! Only a couple things that were a bit on the negative side .. stairs to loft was not fun and parking at condo... would recommend to anyone and would definitely book this same place again! The spiral staircase was a little tricky but not a big deal. Everything was well kept and the rental co were great to deal with. A little disappointed, but mostly positive experience. For 6k (one week rental), you would think we wouldn't have to worry about buying toilet paper or other basics (e.g. shampoo, soap). After staying in 50+ VRBO properties, I wasn't used to this level of cheapness as it never occurred. Also, despite a photo and listing a grill as being on property - that didn't exist. Called and they said "it was against the rules". I assume that means some guest had since caused them to remove the grill? Minimal towels available (minimal everything) but that wasn't a huge concern with washer/dryer on premises. Location was fantastic. Backyard pool was also great. Units were clean but certainly not spotless. One of the two units had a funky mildew odor. Management company was easy to get a hold of but ultimately never really helpful. But they were nice enough. I would recommend it because perhaps Key West vacation rentals work a little differently on the whole... and overall we did enjoy it.

Pete's cottages were absolutley great, when we arrived outside we were a little apprehensive as from the front they look rather ordinary but when you walk in you realise they are very nice and this feeling just gets better as you walk out back to find the lovely pool. We rented both cottages and it was perfect to have our own pool, great times.

Good Time Place

We were 3 couples and it worked out great. The property was very nice, even more than expected from pics. The location was nice, just one block off Duval. Quite a walk to the main scene of things but in the quiet area of town so no bar noise. Everything functioned properly, weather was beautiful and the heated pool was a plus!! Would highly recommend this property. The only down fall is only having one bathroom in each house, but it was definitely manageable!!

Great location and very well maintained pool back yard made for great vacation. I expect a little wear from rentals, but the insides could use a little more upkeep based on prices paid (spackled/ unpainted holes in wall). One units AC broke down and the other had termites that required attention. Did not impact vacation overall, but would be nice to see updates as I would like to return to property next year.
