30 DAY MINIMUM RENTAL Packer Retreat is a beautifully renovated "Conch" house with many architectural touches in the charming historic district. Designed to bring the outdoors in, this home features a bright living room with cathedral ceilings & tall French doors opening to the pool & garden area. Nicely decorated throughout, this two bedroom, two and a half bath home has a open. airy kitchen that looks out to the pool and deck area. Adjoining the kitchen is a covered dining area. Float in the pool or relax in the poolside "cabana" at the opposite end of the pool from the living room. In the cabana is one additional bedroom & one bath with shower.
Back in the main house, the master bedroom is in the original shotgun portion of the home. With high ceilings and white panel walls, the dark furniture is set off from the blue painted floors. The master bath features a oversized slate shower and walk-in closet. The second bedroom is next door with a queen bed and full bath with tub. Off the ktichen is a wonderful powder room with a wall of wood rescued from the original portion of the house with remnants of the paint used on the walls when the house was built. A full indoor laundry room adjoins the half bath.
There's lots of deck space to enjoy the tropical climate here. Catch some sun or relax at night under the stars. This is great home for a long vacation. Bedding: 1 king, 2 queens

This was our 7th year at the Packer Retreat and the home truly represents the Old Town, Key West lifestyle.
Packer retreat is a great house. So great I am renting it in 2010. The layout and outdoor space is unusually large for Key West. And the home is very private and quiet. the location is within walking distance to Duval and White streets. The home is beautifully decorated but needs to be "freshened" up. The sofas and carpets are dirty. the kitchen has very little equipment (1 pan, no serving platters...) the outdoor furniture is moldy, filthy and the cushins need to be replaced. The guest cottage is moldy. The grill was FILTHY and broken and once it broke, the owner sent over another filthy grill. For the amount of money they are charging, this home needs an overhaul. I have decided to come back because the yard is large and i bring a pet. This home is ideal for dogs. PS. the master bed is held up by papaerbacks. Hope that is fixed in 2010
