We stayed in Ashe Splash for the month of January. The only thing bad about it was that we had to leave at the end of the month. This is a beautiful house, tastefully decorated, comfortable, full or light, in a quiet neighborhood, an easy stroll to everything, including many great places to eat. The kitchen is well equipped and a joy to cook in. I looked at lots of houses before I chose this one, but I will look no further the next time I have a chance to spend time in Key West.
Amazing old Conch House that has been brought into the 21st century without ruining it . . . very comfortable and great location . . . we have stayed in many KW locations, but this was our favorite . . . there is no parking on this residential street, but there are several non-resident spots in the surrounding blocks (minor complaint in an otherwise amazing visit!) . . . highly recommended!
The home was beautiful and well kept.. We felt all necesaary ameneties were easily available BUT the rental company failed to inform us that we were not allowed to park on the street. There is no drive or off street parking, so you think that would have been a point to bring up. Hope they do a better job with the next renters. We are using another company next year.
Ashe Splash is a quaint, monthly rental on a narrow street in the historic district of Old Town Key West featured in Cottage Living, Dec. 2008. Like many Old Town homes, this house does not have a driveway or off street parking, which our website clearly stated. The original reservation inquiries were submitted and responded to by the property owner. We wrote the contract with the guest on behalf of the owner. Our check-in information clearly relays the parking designations of Old Town streets, whether it was spoken or not. We always make a point to convey as much property information as possible and have instructed other guests with large vehicles or motor homes where more appropriate parking is located, as many streets are narrow and parking spaces limited. This is why alternative modes of transportation such as bicycles, scooters and electric vehicles are so popular here.
