While savoring the distinctive essence of La Brisa, take in the ocean, the Key West weather and when you see the bright red WWII Bi-Plane fly overhead on one of its daily excursions from our small airport, ask yourself, Why Not?
We stayed at 408E artists Haven for the month of March 2011. As I said Location, Location, Location. The condo is a large three bedroom w/ two full bathrooms. We were across the street from Smathers Beach during spring vacation w/no problems. Our concern was the condo was outdated and unloved. We called the rental agency to report that we couldn't get the stereo to work and they sent a rep. within the hour he got the stereo to work and one speaker. Thank god I'm married McGiver he got the second speaker to work. Then we called because the garbage disposal was backing up constinently. The rep. came and found a knife in the double sink that must have been there for a year, but the disposal still did not work right so McGiver then had to plunge the disposal after each time we tried to use it. We gave up after two wks. and just threw the garbage in the trash. When we first arrived the toilet was running in the master suite so McGiver fixed that. The sliding glass doors in the living room just about opened and in the master suite sliding doors had to be oilled several times to keep them open. We couldn't get the sliding screen in the living room to slid. They needed new wheels. To boot there was only one screen for all the windows and that was in the kitchen. We called the rental agency and they sent over curtain rods so we could push up the windows to let in the air. You are probably saying why not put the air conditioner on, but that is why we came to Key West to be able to open the windows and get the air. The sofa and chairs need updating they were a little broken down. The art in the condo was lovely and some of the pcs of furniture were lovely, Asian which we liked. The lanai was wonderful, we ate every meal outside. Overall this condo needs some loving! I don't know that we would rent this condo again unless it had some kind of an overhaul.
