This residential condominium complex is situated opposite the largest beach on our tiny island of Key West, Smathers's Beach, while offering many amenities of a resort hotel. Sunbathe next to a large kidney shaped pool, with beautiful, tropical landscaping. Soak in the adjacent hot tub after a long match of tennis on La Brisa's very own court. On one of our very few, really cool nights, retreat to the dry saunas for warmth. This unit is designed to catch the breeze with the exterior walkway leading to your front door opening up to the view of the balcony beyond the interior. Featuring two large bedrooms and baths, the interiors provide ample space for a small family or vacationing couples. This unit features central a/c with heat, WIFI, cable TV, washer/dryers and a well equipped kitchen with all the conveniences of home in a secured setting. Bedding: 1 queen, 2 twins, 1 sofa sleeper
The location is great being right across from the beach and the pool was wonderful as it is well kept and maintained. The condo itself was very disappointing. In need of major updates and maintenance. Overall feeling in the room is worn and dirty. The blinds in the master bedroom did not open and close, there was duct tape holding a window together, the bedding was worn (not certain they were clean). We called the office upon arrival and they did send someone out the next day to clean which helped somewhat. The washer and dryer appear were the nicest amenity in the room which looked brand new and were very quiet. We had hoped to prepare a few meals in the room, however based on lack of cleanliness of the kitchen accessories and the overall feel of the room, we opted to eat out and spent little time in the room.
The location of LaBrisa #206E was wonderful. We were away from the noise and crowds of downtown but could be downtown in minutes. Having Smathers Beach across the street was so convenient and the view of the beach from the balcony of the condo unit was wonderful. There was a hot tub and pool on the premises and the people we met who lived there year round were very friendly. The condo unit was attractively furnished and we (4 adults) were very comfortable. The only problem, and it really wasn't a problem, was that the slider door to the balcony was very hard to open and close. Other than that, our stay at Labrisa was great and if we ever go to Key West again, we will defintely plan on staying there.
